I have very simple classroom expectations. The number one thing that I expect from my students is that they respect themselves and each other.
The second expectation is responsibility. Students are expected to be responsible and accomplish any task that is given to them. I expect them to be responsibile for their learning, turning in their work on time, and acting appropriate in and out of the classroom.
The third expectation is to follow classroom rules. Some simple classroom rules are listening carfully, following directions, working quietly, raising your hand and respecting people and property. The students are representing the 6th grade and I expect them to act appropriately.
The fourth expectation of students is there is to be no bullying present. We have discussed bullying and cyberbullying in Health class and even signed a contract.I expect each and every student to follow that contract in and out of our classroom.
The final expectation is to follow the school rules. Our school rules include talking at an appropriate volume, walking ,no running, no fighting or provoking others, and no gum chewing. Most of all follow the schools PBIS behavior rules that are posted in the classroom ,as well as, in the hallways and agendas. All these rules are stated in the student handboook that you and your child signed in the beginning of the year. Please refer back to the handbook or just ask if you have any questions.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child.
